Tips on Christmas Eve 2010

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

A friend said he enjoyed my various postings concerning being a tipped employee. He tips better now. This table is from working Christmas Eve, 2010. A few things to note. I took a remade pizza at no charge to the customer. Some people tip the drive who brings the remade pizza, not in this case. To be fair, they did not tip the first driver especially well. My year to date average for is $3.85 an address, so $4.95 is better than average, but not outrageous.

The person who tipped almost $7.00 on a $20 order is a regular customer. We go to their house more than once a week. No, they do not tip like that every time. The young man who tipped $2.40 did so with '...and keep the change.' He no doubt heard it in a movie. Junior, it is more impressive when 'the change' is over $2.50. There are people who say keep the change, and mean, the change that is their tip is under a dollar. Only trying to feed my children.
