My Ringtone

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 - Pink Floyd has been my ringtone since I have had a phone that can have .mp3 ringtones, late 1999, maybe. When I worked for a K-12 school district I was part of the team assisting when building Principals were issued new phones. My phone went off. I helped three Principals set it up on their phones.

I was asked, "What are the lyrics to my ringtone?"

Here is the answer.

We don't need no education We dont need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teachers leave them kids alone Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone! All in all it's just another brick in the wall. All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

"Wrong, Do it again!" "If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?" "You! Yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still laddy!"

The girls love my ringtone. One of the best principals I ever worked with loved it to.

One day, I was talking with the mom of one of the girls classmates. "Another Brick in the Wall" starts playing. We both reach for our phones.

"You have Floyd as a ringtone?"

"Yep!"

Cool Mom.

Have a listen.
